Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces resh green beans
  • 5 slices of turkey bacon
  • 1 ounce sliced almonds
  • 1/4 red onion, diced
  • 1 TBSP olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp salt (salt to your preference)
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

In a non-greased skillet, cook turkey bacon for 6-7 minutes over medium heat. When finished, take bacon out and place on plate covered with paper towels. Without draining any of the juices from the bacon, place onions into the skillet and cook for 2 minutes. Add olive oil, green beans, salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook 5-7 minutes, or until green beans reach desired crispness. Add bacon and almonds, cook for another 1-2 minutes, and voila! You’ve got a yummy side dish!
