I was over at my friends house one day when she mentioned that she found a good recipe for a frosty knockoff, and even better, it was a healthy recipe! I love frostys (and basically anything with ice cream. YUM), so to have a healthy alternative that can be made quickly at home sounded almost too good to be true. She whipped some up for us and within minutes, we were enjoying a healthy dessert.

I won’t tell you that this really tastes like a frosty. It does have the same idea, but I think it’s pretty hard to make this big of a healthified change to something and have it taste the same. If you like bananas though, it is a good alternative for a healthy dessert.

Healthy Frosty Knockoff

3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1-2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 frozen banana (the original recipe uses an unfrozen banana and 15 ice cubes)

Blend all ingredients until smooth.
